Our deployment photo session: PICTURES!

Some of our best friends gifted us with a photo session with their wedding photographer. We don't have any recent pictures of my husband in his dress uniforms, and none of us together in them! With my husband deploying soon, this seemed like a great time to finally get some picture taken! Our photographer Jim Meyer did a fabulous job!! Meyer Photography

About My Life

My name is Meghan and I'm a Navy Reservist's Wife living in the Midwest. My husband and I are preparing for our second deployment as a married couple (he was in the Navy before we met). We have been married 5 years, our first deployment was 6 months after we got married. I have a BA in English and double minored in Theater and Education. After graduation I spent 5 years working in Social Work/Mental Health and I'm currently a full-time private nanny. I live with my two Pitbull/Mastiff rescues and a fat, mean cat.

About Rerservation for One:

I started writing this blog mainly for myself, to have an outlet for everything I'm going through during the preparation for and actual deployment. I also wanted to connect with other military wives because this is a hard thing to go through. My first deployment was terrible, and I don't want anyone to feel alone or unprepared. I've been excited to find new purpose in this blog as well. What it's become is also a way to share with my friends and family what I'm going through, and tell others what it's like to be a Navy Reservist's Wife going through deployment. So many times I've been resentful of others for not understanding what I'm going through during deployment. What I've learned through this blog is that people don't know and can't understand unless I tell them. So, I'm sharing my process, my planning, and my emotions through this blog, to shed a little light for myself and for others. Thanks for reading!
